Dairy Free Baking

Nov 21, 2010

We can bake a deliciously light sponge using a vegetable based spread, rather than butter, making it suitable for those who have a dairy/lactose intolerance. Instead of the butter icing Royal icing can be used, and the creative possiblities are still endless.

Our tray bakes and large round cakes can be made in the same way, hopefully making our cakes agreeable to most.

Some of these webistes have yummy recipes to follow, others have discussion forums about a dairy free diet. I have not tried all the recipes on the websites, so pick with caution!
